Morro da Urca

The trail of Morro da Urca that goes up to the first cable car station of Sugarloaf is excellent for those that are not as accustomed to longer hikes or that are simply just looking for a nice, relaxed introduction Rio’s trails and forests.  It begins on the beautiful Claudio Countinho walkway that’s has a great view of Praia Vermelha and the Atlantic ocean.  We then take a easy trail for no more than 40 minutes up through the forest al the way to the cable car station.  From there you already have an incredible view of the city, the bay, and Sugarloaf.  And if you choose, we may continue from there and pay a half priced ticket to take the cable car up to the second station.
