With more than 270 climbing routes in the neighborhood of Urca alone, Rio de Janeiro is the worlds largest climbing center inside a metropolitan area.   Most of the climbs I offer are located in Urca, on Sugarloaf, Morro da Urca, or Morro da Babilonia, and all have fantastic views of the city and sea.   The routes in Urca range in difficulty from II (5.3 US) to VIIc (5.12c US), so it is always easy to find the right route for each climber, even those that have never climbed before.  Being that I only started a short time ago, my guiding is limited to routes with a difficulty level of no more than IVsup (5.8 US) but for more experienced climbers, another guide, David Branco, is always available. A well experienced climber and a trusted friend, David can guide any climbing route, as well as many longer treks in and around Rio.
