Experience Rio in a way most people never will...
Don Lenz
Don
is a graduate
engineer, originally
from Chicago, but
has lived in Houston
for too many years.
He has
traveled to all of
the continents
(except Antarctica)
over the years,
mostly on business,
but has managed to
enjoy some of the
better parts of the
countries he has
visited.
He has worked
off-and-on in Brazil
since 1983, and in
1998 moved
permanently to Rio
to build and operate
a factory for a US
firm.
Not so long
ago, Don realized it
was time to slow
down a bit and to
spend some time
relaxing and
enjoying life, so he
decided to go into
“semi-retirement”;
that is, to
kick-back until the
money runs out.
Don started sailing when he was 12 years old and has enjoyed many boats and adventures over the years. He is certified by the Brazilian Navy for operation of vessels in Brazil and is experienced in sailing, navigation and boat handling and safety. Don enjoys the Brazilian pace, attitude and lifestyle; if you are looking for an America’s cup sailing mentality, Don is not your choice.
Andrew Lenz
Andrew
has a variety of
talents and
interests and has
thoroughly
integrated himself
into Rio' s culture
and society.
He is an
excellent sailor,
trekker and rock
climber, and spends
much of his time
engaging in these
activities.
His other life
passion is music;
and as an
accomplished
percussionist plays
in several bands and
samba schools, and
has dedicated
himself to studying
Brazilian rhythms
and instruments.
Andrew speaks fluent Portuguese, is a graduate Tour Guide, and is certified as such by the Brazilian government . Andrew has lead many tours in Rio and has also worked as a translator and guide for the internationally recognized social program, Schools Without Borders.
